Itel P40 Review & Price (with big 6000 mAh battery)

The itel P40 boasts an HD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 120 frames per second. For the 5MP front-facing camera, a “waterdrop notch” has been cut into the top of the display. The main camera is 13 megapixels, and there’s a VGA depth sensor on the rear as well.

An understated Unisoc SC9863A processor provides juice to the phone. A PowerVR GE8322 GPU, clocked at 550MHz, complements the device’s eight Cortex-A55 CPU cores, which run at 1.6GHz.

Manufacturers cite RAM sizes (64 + 7GB, 32 + 6GB, and 64 + 4GB) with dynamic RAM included but do not disclose the fixed RAM size. There will probably be a 64 GB RAM option along with 32 GB and 64 GB RAM variants.

On the itel P40, you’ll find Android 12 Go Edition. There’s an 18W charger included inside the 6,000 mAh battery. A fingerprint scanner on the rear and Face Unlock is other notable feature.

Itel P40 vs Itel P38 Pro

The new itel P40 is the direct successor to the itel P38 Pro on the itel P series, and right now, we are going to take a close look at the features and functionalities of both phones to know if the introduction of the itel P40 is an upgrade or downgrade to the itel P38 Pro. However, I have a detailed review of the itel p38 Pro here. What you are going to see here is the comparison between the new P40 and the P38 Pro.

Display & Design

When it comes to display and design, the phones look amazing, but the choice is all yours to make. However, I can’t say that the P40 is better than the P38 Pro because the P38 Pro is bigger with a 6.82-inch display compared to the 6.6-inch display that itel P40 came with. However, itel might release the Pro version of the P40 with more advanced features and a bigger display, expect it soon.

Both phones have dual cameras and a fingerprint sensor at the back side of the phone, while in the front, they both have HD+ IPS waterdrop notch display. There is no special protection for the screen and the body.

Operating System

Itel P40 is equipped with Android 12 Go Edition, one of the latest Android Os and only second to Android 13. On the other hand, itel P38 Pro comes with Android 11 Go Edition, but they are both clocked with Unisoc SC9863A processor. The only difference here is the Android versions (12 and 11).

Camera

There is nothing much here that differentiates the two phones. They both offer a 13MP dual rear camera with a VGA depth sensor and 5MP front selfie camera. However, the configurations and performance might not be exact, but there won’t be much difference.

Memory Size

Itel P40 offers a similar memory Size to itel P38 Pro, They both offer 64GB internal storage memory, and between 2-4GB RAM, the good news is that the phones support memory fusion that allows you to increase the phone random access memory from 2GB to 7GB.

In case you don’t understand what I meant by memory fusion, it’s a process that allows you to map out some of your phone storage memory and use it to increase your phone RAM, giving it more power to perform better.

Battery

The Itel P series is known for its strong battery capacity, and the new P40 smartphone has not deviated from that standard. However, compared to itel P38 Pro, they offer 6000 mAh battery capacity supported with 18W fast charging.

Other features of both phones include 4G LTE network support, fingerprint sensor, face ID unlock and lots more. Itel phone is the best for those with very limited budget because they offer real value for money.
